MISSION TRAIL NET

The Mission Trail Net is an organization of Amateur Radio Stations handling non-commercial messages FREE of charge for the general public, particularly in times of emergency.

 

The Mission Trail Net (MTN) was established in 1937 by Bob Carter, W6NTU of Livermore, California.  

 

MTN is recognized as  the oldest active traffic net on record.  It was organized to handle message traffic and contacts.  It also serves as a meeting place for new friends.  

 

Mission Trail Net is primarily a traffic handling net.  Written messages are given priority over verbal requests.
